Honey Bees

The Honey Bees room is designed specially for toddlers aged up to 2 years. It has a seperate sleep room, changing area and direct access onto the garden.

The Honey Bees Staff offer an exciting, exploratory environment that encourages toddlers to engage in stimulating activities both indoors and outdoors. There is 1 qualified member of staff for every 3 babies .

We refrain from wearing shoes in our baby and toddler room. This practice ensures that the carpets remain clean and safe for the babies when crawling and playing.

During quieter times the staff will take children to Rother Valley Country Park. It's good for children to get out into the fresh air and have a change of scenery and the provision of double buggies will assist the journey.

Meals and bottles are served individually, in line with each baby's routine. Self-help skills are encouraged for older babies at lunchtime. If your baby requires formula milk, we ask that you bring in your chosen brand to allow staff to make your baby's feed when needed. This will ensure that your baby's feed is fresh each time. If your child has solid food we ask that you bring shop purchased sealed jars so that staff can follow the correct heating procedures and use buy date, alternatively we can provide our fresh cooked meals chopped small or pureed.

Nappies, wipes, creams and comforters should also be brought in from home, in a bag clearly marked with your child's name .

At around the age of 2 years your child should be ready to move to the Bumbles play room. To prepare them for this, visits will be made regularly both by children to their new room and Bumbles staff to the Honey Bees room.
