The Bee Hive

The Bee Hive is designed accommodate children aged 3 to 5 years and helps to prepare children for school reception. The welcoming room has its own toilets and direct access onto the spacious,secure garden.

The Bee Hive staff offer a wide range of exciting, stimulating activities in a lightly structured way that helps children to prepare for a school environment. Such activities include challenging maths, science and creative activities.

It has a story corner, messy play area, table top area, floor play, pretend play area and a computer.

There is 1 qualified member of staff for every 6 children.

Staff often take the children out into the surrounding fields to explore the local wildlife such as birds, rabbits and squirrels. During quieter times the staff take children to Rother Valley Country Park.

If you have applied for a place at Beighton School Nursery, the Bee Hive staff will take your child to visit the School Nursery and the School Nursery staff will visit the Bee Hive room shortly before your child is due to move.

Alternatively you can choose to keep your child at Bizzy Bees until they start school or you can choose a shared care option. We will take and collect your child to and from Beighton School Nursery. This service would benefit working parents who require more than the 3 hour sessions that the School Nursery offers.
